The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Foundation has purchased the Historic Large Family property  in Flemington.  Former home of George Hall Large, who was an American lawyer and  politician who served as President of the New Jersey Senate.  The building was also former offices of Flemington law firm of Large & Large, later known as Large, Scammell & Danziger.

The historic home located at 119 Main Street in downtown Flemington will be transformed into a new business hub for Hunterdon County.    It has a role played in the development of business in the county since it was built in 1847.  The home was selected for inclusion in the Historic American Building Survey in 1937, and its owners helped attract major businesses into the county throughout the first half of the 20th century.

The front part of the building will be the new home for the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce.  The Unity Bank Center for Business & Entrepreneurship will be housed in the rear part of the historic building.

This page will chronicle the restoration of this property to its original beauty.  This site will be updated regularly with progress.
