PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. (January 9, 2018) – Unity Bank has moved its Phillipsburg branch into a new, modern location and hired Gregory B. Perlman of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania as Relationship Manager of the branch. Unity’s Phillipsburg branch is in the Greenwich Station Shopping Center at 1225 U.S. Highway 22 West, less than a mile from its previous site.

Perlman has more than 20 years of sales and management experience, including serving as a branch manager for two large regional banks. He is a Board member of the Phillipsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and a Trustee of Effort United Methodist Church. Perlman received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kutztown University.
“We are pleased to have Greg join our growing team at Unity as he brings significant branch management experience to this important position,” said Unity Bank President & CEO James A. Hughes. “Banking services at the branch level are increasingly important to our customers, particularly small business owners who still, even in the age of electronic banking, rely on branches. Experienced branch managers are important to maintaining a high level of customer service at our community locations.”
Unity Bank will announce a grand opening event for the community at the Phillipsburg branch later this year. The new location provides a larger, contemporary facility with the space for enhanced services as well as more effective automobile traffic flow. Unity also recently opened a new branch in Ramsey, its second in Bergen County. The bank will open another new branch in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, its second in the Lehigh Valley, in the first quarter of 2018.
